This Privacy and Security Policy (“Privacy Policy”) addresses our use and disclosure of information we collect from you on the Worqplace.com product platforms and web site.

Worqplace is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This statement applies to the usage policies and practices that apply to Worqplace. We do not control the data use practices of employers collecting your personal information in the job application process.

Information We Collect and Retain

We collect the personal and demographic information you choose to provide us. Personal information is information that can be used to identify you. We do not collect personal information unless you choose to provide it to us. Some examples of personal information that we collect, depending on the services you use or the employer with whom you are applying: Name Address, Email Phone numbers Work history Education history Background information Employment references Birth date Gender Ethnicity Social security number, credit card information, contact information.

As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

How Information is Used

We use the information you provide us to deliver the products and services we offer, and to operate and improve our sites. Our services may include personalized content and job suggestions. We may use your information to contact you about Worqplace updates, conduct surveys, or informational and service-related communications, including important security updates.

If you no longer wish to receive promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each communication or by emailing us at unsubscribe@worqplace.com. Disclosure of Information to Others

We may share your information with third parties who help us in the delivery of our own products and services to you. These third parties may not use that information for any purpose other than assisting us in providing those products and services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We disclose to third parties your personal information, combined personal, demographic, behavioral or indirect information, as set forth below:

  1. We may share your information with third parties who help us in the delivery of our own products and services to you. We disclose information to companies and individuals we employ to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include hosting our web servers, analyzing data, providing sales and marketing assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. These companies and individuals may be located in a country, whose data protection legislation is different from your country, and they will have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions, but they may not share that information with any other third party or use that data for any other purpose. We will remain responsible for any information shared in this way.

We may also disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request. If Worqplace is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information, to any other third party with your prior consent to do so.

We also share aggregated anonymous information about visitors to our Sites with Worqplace clients, partners, other Site visitors, and other third parties so that they can understand the kinds of visitors to the Sites and how those visitors use the Sites. We may also aggregate on an anonymous basis survey feedback information, data regarding job qualifications, schooling, age, experience level or other information relevant to the job search or competition among job seekers for any such job. Such aggregated data does not identify users individually, and may be made available to employers or fellow job seekers or community members.

Information we receive from our Customers

We supply technology, hosting, hiring management and related services to companies to power jobs areas on their Web sites. Personal and/or demographic information supplied by you in our Customers’ corporate jobs page is part of the Worqplace database. You may be offered the option of storing basic job application information for use in future job applications in your own Wallet. Information stored in a Worqplace Wallet is private not public or searchable.

Information gathered on a Worqplace Customers’ corporate job site powered by Worqplace may be retained by both Worqplace and the company. In that instance, the use of such information by the other company will be subject to the privacy policy of that company and Worqplace is not responsible for that company's use of your personal or demographic information.

Our Customers, employers may provide information you submit to them to third parties, and may use Worqplace services to provide your information to third parties. Worqplace does not control the personal information practices of employers to whom you submit personal information.

If you apply for a position through a Worqplace Customer’s corporate job site, you may be asked to provide information on your age, gender, race, other protected status, or for a government identity number where permitted by law. You should understand that, if provided, this information should only be used by employers in accordance with applicable law. Worqplace is not responsible for the actions of such employers. All such information is separate from your Wallet and providing such information to employers is your decision. Some employers are required by law to gather age, gender, race, or government identity number where permitted by law. You should understand that if provided, this information may only be used by employers only in accordance with applicable law and they should not use it in making any negative employment decisions. All information provided will be kept separate from your expression of interest in any job opportunity. Providing this information is subject to local law.

Access

Wherever we obtain access to our Customers’ jobs data we are acting as a data processor on behalf of our Customers, and we therefore conduct such activities strictly in accordance with their instructions and pursuant to our contractual arrangements with them. If you are a candidate for employment with one of our Customers, an employee of one of our Customers, or an End User with an existing relationship with one of our Customers, you should refer to the Customer’s website or human resources manager to understand the privacy practices that apply to jobs data that we may maintain about you. Moreover, if you would like to access and review your jobs data, you should contact our Customers (your potential or existing employer) with any such requests. We will cooperate as appropriate with requests from our Customers to assist with such responses.

Security

You are responsible for ensuring that your log-in credentials (your username and password) are kept confidential.

Worqplace has implemented technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Where we collect sensitive personal information and including when you place an order online at Worqplace, your credit card information is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") protocol. SSL makes it difficult for your credit card information to be intercepted or stolen while being transmitted. Worqplace uses a service company to process its credit card transactions.

We use cookies, web beacons, and Java Script to administer our site and deliver a personalized experience. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

Worqplace is not intended for, nor do we knowingly collect information from, children under the age of 13.
